Montessori Leadership Councils are local support groups for Heads of Schools and key leadership staff.

Leadership Councils are independent consortia of 4 to 12 Montessori schools whose leaders voluntarily form a close bond for fellowship, mutual growth, and cooperative projects for their schools. Each member makes a commitment to invest one day a month-- spent together with the other members of his or her Council group. Naturally, there is also a commitment to support one another in every way possible, to never harm the other schools in the Council, and to treat everything said as completely confidential. Monthly meetings are typically spent in examining the state of each school, exploring any issues that are brought to the group, working on collaborative projects, and often in developing new professional skills and insights through either sharing of skills and experience or by bringing in outside speakers.
