IMC - We're Here to Help!

2005 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

CALL FOR PRESENTERS

We are now accepting proposals from members and friends of the Foundation and International Montessori Council who would like to present at next November's Annual Conference. In 2005, it will be held once again in Clearwater Beach, Florida November 4 through 6.

All proposals must be submitted by email to timseldin@aol.com no later than March 1, 2005.

Each proposal must include:

1. The presenter(s) name(s), address(es), phone number(s), email(s), and a brief bio for each person presenting.

2. The title of each presentation

3. A brief description of each presentation in 1 to 3 sentences.

4. Any special needs for the presentation, including AV equipment, special room set up, special materials, etc.

5. Any limitations that the presenter(s) have on when the presentation(s) can be scheduled (for example, if a presenter has to leave Clearwater Saturday night, we obviously need to know that we cannot schedule that presentation for Sunday).

6. A statement that you have read and can agree to the following conditions:

a. The Montessori Foundation and IMC cannot offer presenters an honorarium, nor can we cover the cost of transportation, lodging, or meals. Like most organizations, other than when we bring in an outside keynote speaker, our conferences assume that presenters are either IMC members who would normally be attending the conference anyway, or that they are friends of Montessori education who wish to share information, promote themselves within the Montessori community, or to publicize a program that they represent.

b . Presenters are asked to submit an article or essay, as well as any worksheets, that they will want attendees to have for their presentation. These may be reprinted in Tomorrow's Child or Montessori Leadership, but remain the copyrighted work of the presenter.

c . We normally audio tape presentations, and we will ask each presenter to give us permission to tape and make these tapes available for purchase to attendees and other IMC members.
