This is a new edition to The World In The Palm Of Her Hand: The Montessori approach to History and Geography for the Young Child, completely revised and expanded by Montessori Foundation President, Tim Seldin. The original edition has been a basic text in many Montessori Teacher Education Programs and a valued part of tens of thousands of Montessori teachers' library collections since its initial publication in 1978. It offers a comprehensive curriculum for introducing young children (age 3 to 8) to physical and cultural geography, mapping, and history. This revised edition includes many new lessons in both Geography and History. They include the "Secret Lessons" in the history of life on Earth and Early Human Beings not included by the original publisher.
