The Montessori Foundation

We know that this has been a difficult time for many Montessori schools in the USA and abroad. In a weak economy, with increasing government pressure on schools to follow a state-mandated curriculum and prepare students for state-prescribed tests, parents tend to be confused and uncertain about the wisdom of following a path that is so different from the ones their friends have chosen for their children. We know that in many schools, students are engaged in a 'race to nowhere.'  Today, strong Montessori school leadership is more important than ever for your school's future.

At The Montessori Foundation, Montessori educational Leadership is our focus. We've been here to help Montessori schools, large and small, since 1992. For the past 18 years, through our our wide range of  publications and media that promote Montessori education, our conferences, programs in Montessori school leadership, professional development workshops, our Leadership Help Line, and Tomorrow's Child Magazine (read by Montessori parents and teachers everywhere), we help Montessori schools around the world to reach more families and grow strong.

We invite you to become a founding member of a new worldwide network of parents, teachers, and friends. By joining Friends of Montessori you will discover that you will be able to help your own school, while at the same time supporting the work  of The Montessori Foundation. Your membership donation will help to ensure that, in all the years to come, The Montessori Foundation will always be there to help.

As a Friend of Montessori you will receive an attractive membership card, a window decal for your car, and a beautiful lapel pin based on the category of your gift. In addition. Basic and Supporting Members will receive an annual online subscription to Tomorrow's Child. Silver and Gold Lifetime Members will receive a lifetime subscription to Tomorrow's Child Online. Over time, you will discover that there is another benefit of your gift that will continue to grow. As we write, businesses and friends of Montessori are beginning to step forward to be included in a free global network of Friends of Montessori. Most offer discounts and deals to card holders, which only will add more value over time to  your membership. And, because The Montessori Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable international NGO organization, your donation will be tax deductible to the full extent provided by the law in your nation.
