The International Montessori Council (IMC) was established in 1998 under the auspices of the Montessori Foundation to provide an inclusive, affordable professional membership organization for Montessori educators and schools worldwide. The IMC promotes high-fidelity Montessori and helps address the challenges that schools face.

The IMC offers excellent, practical, supportive professional development, networking, school accreditation, and teacher education.

As an independent professional membership organization, the IMC believes that Montessori educators and schools are stronger when we collaborate. We encourage our members to participate in other local, state, and national Montessori organizations. The IMC has its own online presence at www.imcmontessori.org.
