Two new Videos from the Montessori Foundation Aired on Public Television in the United States

The Montessori Foundation has been featured in a segment of The National Education Report, which was aired on National Public television late last year. Copies are available to local Public Broadcast System (PBS) affiliate stations for rebroadcast.

"I just want to say congratulations on the PBS program.  The video highlight is quite impressive and my hat is off to you.  What stands out to me is that you've accomplished so much with this one program.  I am proud to be affiliated with your organization.  As far as I'm concerned, this has the potential to catapult Montessori into the mainstream.  I have put the video clip on my Facebook Wall...and you know how social networking is these days!  Way to go!"

In case you have never seen it, The National Education Report is a series of short documentaries hosted by well known commentator Hugh Downs. This report briefly introduces Montessori education and the work of the Montessori Foundation. While we don't yet know the dates it will be aired, we have a version available now that we can share.

At Mr. Downs' request, the version in which he appears as host can only be shown on PBS stations, therefore this version is slightly different and includes some footage at the end about the Montessori Foundation itself.

We also produced a 60 second public service announcement was produced at the same time. We have arranged for it to air on a wide range of national cable networks, including MSNBC, the Discovery Channel, Lifetime, and many more over the months ahead. This short piece is intended to give the viewer a very brief introduction to Montessori.
